Swiss Press Photo 12
I'm proud to announce that my photograph of Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga was awarded 1st price at Swiss Press Photo 12 in Portrait category. The exhibition containing this picture will be running at the Landesmuseum in Zurich from 5.5. to 15.7.2012, in the Kaefigturm in Bern from 23.8 to 24.11.2012 and in the Chateau de Prangins from 7.12.2012 to 24.2.2013.
A series of portraits of blind people will be part of the exhibition anders sehen celebrating 175 Years Blindenschule Zollikofen. The exhibition will be shown at the Kultur Casino in Bern from 7.3. to 11.3. 2012 and in Chemnitz (D) in August.
A series of portraits will be on display as part the exhibition halbzeit at the Voegele Kultur Zentrum in Pfaeffikon SZ from 6.11 to 11.3.2012. The photos show poeple at the 'halftime' of their lives.
Book Launch & Exhibition
I'm extremely happy to announce the launch of the book Im Land des Unbehagens containing thirteen reportages from all over Europe I had the pleasure to do in cooperation with journalist Daniel di Falco. An exposition with photographs from the book will be running from 25.2. to 27.3. 2010 at the Kornhaus in Bern. A second exhibition will take place in the Kloster Kappel from 29.8. to 24.10.2010. Swiss Press Photo 09
The series Kunst ist schön, macht aber viel Arbeit I shot of painter Kotscha Reist, won this year's 1st price at Swiss Press Photo 09 in Arts & Culture category. The exhibition containing the pictures will be running at the Landesmuseum in Zurich from 11.12. to 07.3.2010.
My series Carpet People, depicting the life of child workers in the carpet industry of Bhadohi, India, is shown now at the Institute of Developing Economies in Tokyo, Japan.
